Employment – Interviewing and Selection

Smaller clients and busy management teams frequently don’t have the time to pour through all those resumes and applications to hire the right people for the job.

That’s where HRx steps in. We can fill the hiring gaps and produce qualified final candidates for you to select from. While we’re not a recruiting firm, we can function as your HR Department and remove the time-consuming task of screening your applicants.

Some clients involve us all the way through the process, partnering with them during the in-house interviews all the way through the reference checking and offer process.

Here’s how we can help:

Write job description or job specifications
Create and place employment ads
Develop internal job postings
Edit or design employment applications
Screen incoming resumes
Script and create telephone interview questionnaires
Conduct telephone interviews of qualified candidates
Script and create live interview questionnaires
Conduct live interviews of top 3-4 candidates
Create a reference check form and conduct reference checks
Write offer letter, creating a template for future use

HRx Client Success Story

One busy client was in need of a client service manager for his financial services business. There was no way for him to grow his business and service his clients as well as conduct a thorough search. We both used the same bookkeeping professional, who suggested he call me. Ironically, we had met 10 years earlier, so the referral was a nice surprise.

We outlined his job responsibilities and skills requirements so I better understood the position, the job and work environment. I then wrote and strategically placed the ads. To make the process easier and faster, the responses to the ad came directly to my email address . I screened the resumes, telephone interviewed the final candidates (using my custom interview script) and submitted the finalists to the client. I scripted interview questions for him as well, to simplify his part of the interview process.

He selected his top candidate and after the references checked out, I created an offer letter outlining all the conditions of employment. Since the company didn’t have an employee handbook, the offer letter included such details as time off benefits, confidentiality requirements, company property and employment at will. It gave him what he needed to move forward with the hire.
